Following last year’s sell-out event, Witcombe Cider Festival returns to Gloucester across the August bank holiday weekend, promising a celebration of local cider and tasty tipples, alongside a brilliant musical line-up across two stages.

Set to deliver a sensational showcase from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 August 2018, the fantastic festival features everything from live performances and outdoor bars, to funfairs and a food village, offering something for everyone.

Whether you’re a champion of local artists or a chart devotee, Witcombe Cider Festival will appeal to all musical tastes, with the 2018 line-up featuring names such as Ella Eyre, Sigma, and Shift K3Y, to name just a few.

Witcombe Cider Festival

There’ll be three days of outstanding entertainment during Witcombe Cider Festival. Friday gets things off to a great start with the Opening Party. Acts comprise multi-genre DJ Nathan Dawe; British house duo 99 Souls; music producer DJ SKT; and talented group, Foor, making it an unmissable dance music event in Gloucestershire.

Onto Saturday, see chart-topping artist Ella Eyre; singer, songwriter and producer MNEK; musical duo DJ Luck & MC Neat; R&R singer Shola Ama; indie rock band Revolvers; and singer-songwriter Awfully Nice.

What’s more on Saturday night, see the Witcombe Big Top headliner, Ultrabeat, and General Levy.

There’s the chance to see drum and bass DJ Sigma; British DJ Shift K3Y; beatbox band Duke; rock band The Sex Pissed Dolls; tribute groups Food Fighterz and The Marley Experience; and artists Tommy Lewis and Jon Masters, all taking to the stage on Sunday.

Finishing the festival on a high, the Big Top Headliner on Sunday night will be Phats and Small.

Whether guests enjoy a pint of cider, glass of Pimm’s, or prefer chilled Prosecco, the Festival Bars cater to all tastes, while the Main Bar will also host DJs playing tunes.

Visit the Brothers Cider bar where Wild Fruit or Rhubarb and Custard flavours will be available, or head to the Craft Cider Bar, featuring The Ciderologist and Cider Tasting Talks.

Other tantalising tipples include gin, Pimm’s and Prosecco, with visitors able to relax in the garden, drink in hand, soaking up the setting and entertainment.

Meanwhile the Food Village is perfect for filling up on tasty treats, ensuring that no one goes hungry during the festivities.

With children under 12 getting free entry into Witcombe Cider Festival, it’s the perfect event for the whole family; there will be free activities during the day, all promising plenty of family fun.

A funfair is sure to delight festival goers old and young, and there will be a host of kids activities for under 12s, with highlights including a craft tent, circus skills and sporty fun with Rugby for Heroes.

For those who want to get fully into the festival spirit, enjoy festival face painting and glitter, creating amazing looks amongst guests!
