The University of Gloucestershire's Oxtalls campus hosts this autumn's finance and economics lecture this October.

Taking place at the School of Business, Computing and Social Sciences at the University of Gloucestershire, Professor Malcolm Prowle leads this autumn's free public lecture on the state of the UK economy and whether we — as a country — are capable of sustainably growing our economy.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 5.30pm, with the hour-long lecture beginning at 6pm. Topics covered will include defining economic growth and why it is necessary, the impact of climate change on the economy, how to deliver sustainable growth and the key roles that small and medium businesses can play in bolstering growth.

After the lecture, a Q&A and networking session begins, with the chance to ask questions about your business and connect with fellow Gloucestershire and south west businesses.

Malcolm is professor of performance management at the university and is a trained physical scientist, a qualified accountant and has held senior positions such as chief financial officer at a number of public and private sector organisations, before moving into education and teaching.
