For budding entrepreneurs with big ideas, CyNam is hosting a free five-day bootcamp at the University of Gloucestershire, which could take your business idea from pipe dream to real-life startup.
Taking place from Monday 2 June to Friday 6 June 2025 — with accommodation available, too — this intensive week is completely free of charge and hosted by Gloucestershire tech companies CyNam and Chltm.Tech.
The bootcamp, which is funded by Barclays and the UK government, is aimed at tech graduates, career changers, entrepreneurs passionate about emerging technologies, cyber security professionals and anyone curious about launching a tech business.
Over the five days, attendees will gain insights into the core subjects of running a startup; receive guidance on key documentation; get industry mentorship from founders, investors and professionals across law, finance and tech; and get the chance to network with peers, mentors and potential investors in the UK’s cyber and tech ecosystem.
After the event has finished, graduates all get post-bootcamp support, receiving six months of mentoring to help them refine business plans and develop strategies.
Those on the residential will get to stay in the university's halls of residence on campus in Cheltenham, while the bootcamp itself takes place at the cutting-edge FuturePark at its Park Campus – with breakfast and lunch also provided as part of the event.
To secure a place, a £100 fully refundable deposit is required — which is refunded straight back on completion of the five days. People wanting to attend who aren't able to pay the deposit are encouraged to email CyNam directly to enquire.
