Family-favourite musical Annie is coming to the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this October 2026, for one week only, starring TV's Claire Sweeney as the spiteful Miss Hannigan.
Claire Sweeney is an actress, singer and TV presenter, who Gloucestershire audiences will recognise more recently from Coronation Street, but is well known for her role in Brookside. Her other credits include roles in Clocking Off, Holby City, Merseybeat, Candy Cabs, Scarborough, The Good Ship Murder and Benidorm.
Claire will star alongside Alex Bourne as Oliver Warbucks; Tanisha-Mae Brown as Grace Farrell; Christian Cooper as Rooster and Amber Kennedy as Lily St. Regis.

Take a trip to 1930s New York, where a brave young girl named Annie is living a life of misery at Miss Hannigan's orphanage, but it seems her luck is about to change.
Annie is chosen to spend a fairytale Christmas with famous billionaire Oliver Warbucks, but the cruel Miss Hannigan has a wicked plot up her sleeve.
While Annie is away, Miss Hannigan hatches a plan to spoil Annie's search for her true family.

Annie runs from Tuesday 6 October until Sunday 11 October 2026 at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, with performances staring at 7pm and matinees at 2pm on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
