Cheltenham Pride 2023 is bringing the Eurovision energy with its biggest and best event yet!
This spring, a pride-packed day is planned for the Gloucestershire LGBTQ+ community, including a parade through the town, stalls and activities in Imperial gardens — as well as an unforgettable FREE after-party at one of Cheltenham’s most popular venues, DEYA Brewery Taproom.
Taking place on Saturday 13 May 2023, Cheltenham Pride is teaming up with the Pride in Gloucestershire event to act as a central spot for the spring celebration.
Packed with colour, positivity and inclusivity to show solidarity for the LGBTQ+ collective, the day will feature a number of engaging activities, kicking off with the iconic Pride march through Cheltenham Town centre at 11am and finishing in Imperial Gardens at midday to open the main event.
Imperial Gardens will be home to a number of stalls, street food vendors and exciting funfair games. Plus, to acknowledge and support all attendees, there will be multi-sensory spaces and trans-specific safe spots.
The main event will wind down at 6pm, ready for the 6.30pm launch of the after-party at DEYA Brewery Taproom, located near Cheltenham train station.
A big-screen is set to be installed for the live stream of the ever-popular Eurovision final, where attendees can expect song, dance and outrageous outfits — both on and off screen.
Local drag queen and reigning champion of Cheltenham's Drag Wars, Greta Grip, will host the evening, promising to be a hugely memorable evening for everyone.
Throughout the night there will be live music, the odd lip-sync and fantastic food and drink with offerings from local favourites Marinades Jerk and pancake experts Scrumptious Stacks.
And of course, DEYA will be providing a plentiful supply of their award-winning beverages for the night.
