Racing fans will be chomping at the bit in anticipation of the new season at Cheltenham Racecourse, opening with The Showcase on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 October 2025.
This first fixture in the 2025-26 Cheltenham Racecourse season sees leading jockeys, horses and trainers return to jump racing’s most famous arena in a spectacular showcase of the season's most promising stars.
Providing the first taste at what promises to be another incredible year in the sport, the meeting blends competitive racing with the thrill of spectating at the home of jump racing.
This year's event also features a range of activities for the whole family to get involved in, including the opportunity to get a taste of life as a jockey with the ultimate VR experience, as well as the chance to capture a photo with the prestigious Gold Cup.

When does the new season start at Cheltenham Racecourse?
The first race hits the track at 1.15pm on Friday 24 October, with the highly-anticipated squareintheair.com Handicap steeple chase kicking off at 2.25pm, before day one comes to a close with the Abu Dhabi Digital Markets Conditional Jockeys' Handicap hurdle race at 4.45pm.
Day two's action takes place on Saturday 25 October from 1.10pm, with a highlight of the William Hill Handicap steeple chase starting at 2.20pm – and the final race rounds off the event, the Junior Jumpers Open National Hunt flat race, bringing The Showcase meeting to a close at 4.40pm.
Plus, spectators on the Saturday can enjoy an acoustic set from Andy Overton in the Tattersalls Sales Arena, then Mojo brings the event to a close with post-racing entertainment at The Centaur.
