On a special 75th anniversary tour, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap is coming to Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre this September 2026.
Joining the cast for this milestone tour are television stars Nicholas Bailey, best known for his portrayal of Dr Anthony Trueman in EastEnders, and Susan Penhaligon, who starred as Helen Barker opposite Dame Judi Dench in A Fine Romance, taking on the roles of Major Metcalf and Mrs Boyle.
Tap into your inner detective and get ready to solve one of theatre's longest running murder mysteries as a shocking revelation unfolds at the manor.
What can Cheltenham audiences expect from The Mousetrap at the Everyman Theatre?
Seven strangers seek shelter in remote country guesthouse Monkswell Manor, while a deadly snowstorm sweeps across the land. Far from the countryside in London, a murder rattles the city.
When a police sergeant turns up at the manor amid the storm with a shocking warning, it seems danger is already inside the house. Whispers, lies and suspicions flood across its visitors as a chilling question takes hold: who inside these walls could be capable of such a terrible crime?
The Mousetrap is produced by Brian Fenty and directed by Hannah Chissick. The play celebrated its 30,000th performance in the West End earlier this year, and was awarded with a Guinness World Records certificate for the longest theatrical run.
When is The Mousetrap on stage at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre?
The Mousetrap runs from 21 September until 26 September 2026 at the Everyman Theatre, with shows starting at 7.30pm each evening and matinees taking place at 2pm on Thursday and Saturday.
