Gloucester’s annual lantern parade returns to switch the Christmas lights on in the city on Sunday 21 November 2021.

Watch the city’s Christmas lights come to life as the parade passes through each location, with the procession travelling from Southgate Street at 4.45pm to Westgate Street and onto College Street, all the way to Gloucester Cathedral.

Six primary schools have got involved with the festivities this year, each using the theme of ‘loving our planet’ to create decorations and lanterns to highlight ways that we can reduce climate change.

With a carol service and refreshments in the Cathedral’s Cloisters to end the evening.
