The latest Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) ranks Hartpury University as one of the UK's top performers for postgraduate students.
Conducted by Advance HE, the PTES is the country's largest survey of taught postgraduate students, and provides detailed feedback to help individual universities benchmark performance against other institutions in the higher education sector.
Ranking universities across a range of key academic measures, the specialist land-based, animal, and sports university near Gloucester placed in the top 10 across five categories for home postgraduate students – coming third for dissertation/major project; fourth for organisation and management, and student engagement; fifth for assessment and feedback; and sixth for skills development.
While it ranked in the top 20 per cent overall for assessment and feedback, organisation and management, student engagement, and dissertation/major project.
Hartpury's postgraduate provision in biological and sport sciences specifically placed third in the country for dissertation/major project, sixth for assessment and feedback, and eighth for organisation and management.
And the university placed in the top 25 per cent for individual measures including course induction, timetabling, intellectual stimulation, prompt and helpful feedback, research skills development, and dissertation supervision.
