Cheltenham Round Table

Providing a night of spectacular entertainment that's perfect for families, Gloucestershire’s biggest annual fireworks event at Cheltenham Racecourse is hosted by Cheltenham Round Table, with the event raising much-needed money for local charities.

It's almost time to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night in Gloucestershire again - and SoGlos has rounded up 11 glittering firework displays and crackling bonfires to enjoy under the stars in 2022.  

With plenty of events happening across Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury this autumn, there's never been a better excuse to bundle the family up in hats and scarves and prepare to 'oooh' and 'aaah' at the spectacular displays planned.

Cheltenham Round Table fireworks at Cheltenham Racecourse

Known for being one of the best family fireworks shows in town, Cheltenham Round Table is hosting an evening jam-packed with entertainment at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 5 November 2022, with the event set to have children's funfair rides; television favourite Peppa Pig in attendance; food and drink stalls; and of course, a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the skies above Cheltenham.

Prices on the day cost £10 per adult and £5 per child.

Guiting Power bonfire and fireworks

Welcoming visitors of all ages to enjoy a host of fabulous fireworks, Guiting Power bonfire and fireworks display takes place from 5pm on Sunday 6 November 2022. There will be a selection of tasty hot food, drinks and sweets on offer, as well as fairground rides, stalls and music to keep children entertained. 

Entry to the event is free, with donations supporting the village RABI (Royal Agriculture Benevolent Institution) welcome. 

Fireworks at Cattle Country Farm Park

Sure to have crowds 'ooh-ing' and 'ahh-ing', Cattle Country Farm Park's anticipated annual firework event is back for two nights of dazzling entertainment on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November 2022, with tickets starting from £5.

Alongside the awesome display, families will have the whole afternoon to enjoy the park and its activities, as well as the chance to tuck in to hot takeaway food and grab a drink from the pop-up bar - just don't forget to wrap up warm!

Chipping Campden annual bonfire and fireworks night

The Recreation Ground in Chipping Campden plays host to a blazing bonfire and fantastic fireworks display on Saturday 5 November 2022. Visitors can expect hot drinks, mulled wine, hot sausage rolls, tray bakes and more to indulge in while they watch the display, too. 

Tickets cost £5 per adult and £3 per child, with free entry for under fives. Please note, tickets are cash only on the gate.

Tewkesbury fireworks and fairground

Taking place at The Pageant Meadow on Saturday 5 November 2022, families in Tewkesbury can get together to take in the town's annual fireworks display and fairground, for a night of explosive fun.

Organised by the Rotary Club, spectators are encouraged to wrap up warm as they experience a magical evening in the town. 

Miserden fireworks display and bonfire 

Remember remember the fifth of November as Miserden School Friends Association hosts a fireworks display and bonfire on Saturday 5 November 2022.

Spectators can enjoy an evening of glittering fireworks; a barbecue with options for both veggies and meat eaters; mulled wine, beer or cider for grown-ups; and even a glow in the dark disco. Tickets bought in advance cost £6 per adult, £3 for under 16s and £15 for a family of four. 

Speech House fireworks and FERN bonfire

Returning for another year, Forest of Dean Lions Club is inviting families across Gloucestershire to its charity bonfire and fireworks night at Speech House field on Saturday 5 November 2022.

With the evening sure to go off with a bang, attendees can expect to see a sparkling fireworks display by Firemagic; Danter's Fun Fair entertainment; as well as the chance to tuck in to burgers, hot dogs, drinks, doughnuts and sweets. Costing £8 per ticket - with kids going for free - all profits go towards benefiting the local people of the forest. 

Fireworks at Wall's Social Club in Gloucester

Organised by Firework Fest, celebrate Guy Fawkes Night and be transported to Ibiza during the October Dance Party at Wall's Social Club this autumn. Coined 'the biggest firework display in Gloucester', spectators can expect fancy dress, food, a funfair, music, outdoor bars and more on Monday 31 October 2022.

Tickets cost £5 per child aged three to 15 and £8 per adult, with pre-booking recommended as prices may change nearer to the event, or sell out completely. 

Five Valleys fireworks

Entertaining people across the county for more than half a century, the Five Valleys fireworks event will return to Marling School Playing Field on Monday 24 October 2022, for a thrilling evening of entertainment, with a fun fair, Punch and Judy show and refreshments. 

All ticket proceeds will be donated to a number of charities, with the total funds raised over the years approaching an impressive £250,000. Pre-booked adult tickets cost £10 per person, with primary school children costing £5 each. Please note, tickets bought on the gate cost 20 per cent more. 

Quedgeley Fireworks Display

Hosted by Quedgeley Town Council, another dazzling fireworks display is planned at Fisher's Meadow on Saturday 12 November 2022.

With hot food and drinks available on the night, it's sure to be a popular display. 

Far Peak Fireworks Display

Back for its fourth year, an evening of spectacular fireworks is planned at Far Peak in Northleach on Friday 4 November 2022.

Alongside a massive firework display, visitors can also expect food and drink stalls, fun activities for kids and even a bar and after party.
