A watercolour painting produced by His Majesty The King features in the latest fashion collaboration between his Cotswolds retreat Highgrove and English global luxury brand Burberry, raising funds for his charity The King's Foundation.
Burberry said it was ‘honoured’ to feature a watercolour by the monarch in the new collaboration, which was launched in October 2026.
His painting depicts Birkhall, the private residence of King Charles and Her Majesty Queen Camilla on the Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire.
It is their Scottish equivalent to Highgrove, their countryside retreat near Tetbury in Gloucestershire.
The artwork served as the focal point for the collection's prints and inspired its verdant colour palette.
Scott Simpson, group retail and brand director for The King’s Foundation, said: ‘Incredibly proud to launch our fifth creative collection with Burberry. The new Highgrove X Burberry collection celebrates the outdoors and we are so proud to feature a wonderful watercolour of Birkhall on the Balmoral estate in Scotland painted by HM King Charles III.
‘The collection also includes the iconic Burberry Trench coat and a new Highgrove X Burberry check in bay green inspired by Highgrove gardens. This is a glorious celebration of British style!’
Burberry’s fifth capsule collection created in partnership with Highgrove Gardens celebrates the British landscape through art and craft and is rooted in a shared appreciation for the British countryside.
Designs are enriched with Burberry’s iconic House Check, refreshed in a bay green palette created exclusively for the collection and featured across outerwear, cashmere scarves, linings and silk accessories.
Highgrove and Burberry also share a dedication to craftsmanship, with the main material and lining of the trench and car coats made in England from 100 per cent organically-grown cotton gabardine.
The new Highgrove x Burberry collection is on sale now online via the Highgrove website, and in person at the Highgrove shops in Tetbury and on the Highgrove estate, as well as via Burberry.
Sales of this new collection will help support The King’s Foundation, the educational charity founded by His Majesty when he was Prince Of Wales.
Burberry was founded in 1856 by English inventor and former draper’s apprentice Thomas Burberry, who invented and patented weatherproof gabardine, which kept out the rain but remained breathable.
Today, the company he founded is a global luxury brand built on a heritage of innovation, craftsmanship and exploration.
Reflecting the king’s long-standing interest in environmental conservation, Highgrove is well known for its organic gardening principles and emphasis on sustainability.
