About the role

You’ll be at the heart of SoGlos’s content engine – crafting articles, campaigns and social content that people genuinely want to read, share and act on.
  • Writing engaging lifestyle and business content for partner campaigns, as well as editorial articles
  • Creating standout social media content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Working closely with partners and the Partnerships Hub team to deliver creative, results-driven campaigns
  • Publishing and managing content through SoGlos’s in-house CMS
  • Sub-editing team content to maintain SoGlos’s high editorial standards
  • Actively spotting story ideas, trends and opportunities that will resonate with our audience
This is a full-time, permanent role.

About you

You’re a confident, creative writer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing polished, engaging work.
  • An exceptional writer with a strong grasp of tone, style and storytelling
  • Able to quickly adopt SoGlos’s fresh, positive and timely house style 
  • Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
  • Confident working directly with clients, with a professional and solutions-focused approach 
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent grammar and spelling
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude 
  • Experience creating engaging social media content, ideally across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn 
  • Comfortable using digital tools and open to learning new systems 
  • SEO knowledge is advantageous 


Salary and benefits

  • £25,000 to £28,000 pro-rata, depending on experience 
  • A key role at Gloucestershire’s leading media brand 
  • Based at SLG's Studio 19 in the Brewery Quarter – one of Gloucestershire's most exciting and creative workspaces 
  • Hybrid working  – minimum two days a week in office
