Moreton Show

A celebration of British agriculture, Moreton Show is the largest one-day farming show in the Midlands. Set in 165 acres of farmland in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh, the annual event features a huge selection of arena attractions, alongside shopping opportunities and countryside competitions, from equine show-jumping to gardening and livestock classes.

The Moreton Show is returning this September 2025, rolling into Moreton-in-Marsh for another incredible day celebrating British farming.

Expect a whole host of fun activities and spectating opportunities for the whole family, from perusing huge veggies and cheering on a tractor parade to meeting friendly farm animals, all rounded up in SoGlos's latest hot list.

Witness top displays of equestrian showmanship

Moreton Show is an unmissable event for horse lovers, with a number of eventing and showjumping contests making it the ultimate destination for witnessing the best equestrian talent in action.

Head to the Cotswold Eco Tubs Horse Area for a timetable featuring Arena Eventing Challenge, before grabbing a spectator spot at The Grand Arena for the adrenaline-fueled Six Bar Challenge; the Five Show Challenge; and the ever-popular Hayman-Joyce Pony Club Pairs Relay – which sees dynamic duos from pony clubs up and down the country compete across a series of jumps for the Hayman-Joyce Challenge Trophy.

Keep the kids entertained

Alongside all the traditional arena attractions, there's plenty for children to get involved with, too.

From following the bubbles of the Magical Musical Bike to learning circus tricks and aerial skills with Circus Kevin and Pole Tricks and Aerial Group, kids can burn off excess energy while having fun at a range of workshops taking place throughout the day – there's even a trail that takes families around the entire showground, so you can be sure not to miss a thing!

Get up close and personal with friendly farm animals

A true highlight for families, Moreton Show sees hundreds of farmers and their animals descend on its showground every year.

Stockmen and women travel down to Moreton-in-Marsh to showcase their fantastic cattle, sheep and goats, with visitors able to meet a whole host of furry friends at the Attwell Farm Park Mini Farm in the Farmtastic Arena, too, including alpacas, chickens, pigs and piglets!

Be amazed by a high-flying BMX performance

Up the ante – and the adrenaline – by catching the Broke FMX as they become airborne at The Grand Arena, performing breathtaking tricks and death-defying stunts.

There's ample opportunity to watch BMXers Josh and John take to the skies, with two performances taking place during the day – and you may even learn something, as they'll be giving informative in-flight commentary while reaching heights of 35 feet.

Come face-to-face with gentle giants

More horsing around awaits at the Hooky Horse Area, providing the chance to come face-to-face with a host of heavy horse breeds, from stunning shires to beautiful clydesdales.

Discover the history of heavy horses, learn all about the different breeds from what makes each special and how they used to work the land before the invention of tractors – and show them some love with a stroke, too.

Wonder at the gardening glory on display

Huge onions, fabulous flowers and egg-cellent eggs – a brand-new class introduced by the committee for 2025 – it's all being showcased at the Home and Garden Marquee.

Fans of independent and organic producers can enjoy perusing lots of well-supported classes like homegrown fruits; jars of homemade preserves; beautiful moments captured in the photography class; and great crafts and bakes made by younger exhibitors.

Cheer on the shearers

Expert sheep shearers are on the case to show off their skills in their own competition, with contestants wrangling woolly friends in a bid to be crowned the Best Local Shearer.

Expect a presentation of combined practical, technical and interpersonal abilities, with a range of contests putting shearers of all ages and abilities to the test, all at speed and with a touch of heated competitive spirit.

Browse stalls packed with lifestyle essentials and gifts

Who doesn't love a bit of shopping? And retail therapy is in abundance at Moreton Show 2025.

There's plenty of trade stands to browse, with both independent and well-established brands selling everything from food and drink to handcrafted gifts, country clothing and farming machinery – so you can stock up for the season ahead.

Catch a vintage tractor parade

Those into terrific tractors are also in luck, as the vintage tractor parade returns to the Rural Attractions Ring.

Always a crowd pleaser, ticket holders can observe vehicles of the past and get a taste – or a hit of nostalgia – for farming history and learn more about how tractors have evolved since the early 1900s to the high-tech machines of today, as they are all put on static display for a portion of the day.

Marvel at gun dog demonstrations

An excellent day out for the whole family, including man's best friend, Moreton Show also has plenty of exciting events for four-legged companions and the humans that love them.

Canine pals can compete in the Cotswold Raw Companion Dog Show, showing off their obedience and good looks; while terriers are called into the ring to race after a mophead; and the clumber spaniels demonstrate their abilities, both trained and instinctive.
