Global journalism awards recognise SoGlos as one of the UK’s best regional websites in 2025

SoGlos has been named among the UK’s top five local and regional news websites at the Press Gazette Future of Media Awards 2025, in recognition of its digital innovation, audience growth and editorial excellence.

SoGlos was a shortlisted finalist as one of the UK’s best local and regional news websites at the Press Gazette Future of Media Awards 2025.

Described as a global celebration of the most innovative and successful digital journalism, SoGlos was selected as one of five finalist websites shortlisted in the UK.

The recognition follows a detailed judging process led by senior industry figures, assessing media outlets from across the world on audience growth, commercial performance, technical innovation and editorial quality.

Alongside SoGlos, this year’s shortlist for Regional Website of the Year included overall winner KentOnline; as well as Belfast Telegraph; Ipswich.co.uk and Swindon website The Moonraker, with the winners announced at a ceremony in London on Thursday 11 September 2025.  

The Future of Media Awards, run annually by Press Gazette, highlight news brands that are shaping the future of journalism.
