Cheltenham's PoloWorks is celebrating its second consecutive year of being awarded Great Place to Work®-Certification.
The insurance services and operations support company, based in Bishop's Cleeve, has received the recognition from the Great Place to Work® institute – a global authority on workplace culture.
Leaders at the firm say scooping the award for the second year in a row is down to fostering a high-trust, people-first environment.
CEO of PoloWorks, Paul Andrews, said: 'For us, being certified as a Great Place to Work for the second-year running is more than an award – it’s a confirmation our people-centric approach is working.
'We put our employees at the heart of everything we do and it’s incredibly rewarding to see their positive feedback.
'As we continue to grow, we’re excited to welcome new colleagues who want to thrive in a culture built on trust, collaboration and continuous learning.'
With six new roles currently on offer, securing the certification also reflects PoloWorks’ ongoing investment in its people and culture – which is further driven with flexible hours and a hybrid working model to support work-life balance, along with a range of professional development initiatives.
These include a management programme, which prepares aspiring leaders for management roles, as well as full sponsorship for industry qualifications such as Chartered Insurance Institute certifications.
In 2025, PoloWorks decided to nurture future talent with the launch of its first apprenticeship programmes, opening new routes to formal development.
Since January 2025, 11 new starters have taken up apprenticeships in subjects including marketing, compliance and insurance.
Deputy controller, Sam Taylor, said: 'As someone who’s been with PoloWorks for almost four years, the support I’ve received has played a huge role in my growth.
'From day one, I’ve been encouraged to develop – whether through mentoring, on-the-job learning or programmes like 'Step Up to Management'. It’s a culture where people are trusted to make an impact.'
Vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work®, Sarah Lewis-Kulin, said: 'This kind of experience is what helped PoloWorks stand out in the eyes of Great Place to Work®.
'By earning this recognition, PoloWorks stands out as one of the top companies to work for – providing a truly great workplace environment for its employees.'
As PoloWorks looks ahead, the business says it remains committed to evolving its workplace experience and building on the feedback from the latest certification.
