Cheltenham-based law firm Willans LLP solicitors has been featured in a prestigious legal guide for the tenth year in a row in 2025, with its lawyers recognised as expert professional advisors for high-net-worth individuals in Gloucestershire and beyond.

International legal research firm Chambers ranks firms and lawyers worldwide for services to high-net-worth clients in its annual High Net Worth guide, assessing performance in key areas including legal expertise, client service, market reputation, responsiveness and commercial insight.

Willans partner and head of its wills, trusts and probate team, Simon Cook has now featured in every edition of the guide since 2016, while Paul Gordon, partner and head of litigation and dispute resolution, has been ranked for the seventh consecutive year.

Simon is rated in the top band for his advice on private wealth law in Cheltenham and the surrounding area, with editors praising his 'high level of expertise' and commercial understanding along with his 'friendly and helpful' approach, always putting the client 'at the centre' of his advice.

Recognising his 'dynamic, no-nonsense approach', Paul Gordon is ranked for his expertise in private wealth disputes in the south west, being described in the guide as 'very commercially minded, fantastic in mediation and… great with commercial realities and striking deals.'

The firm's 'highly regarded' wills, trusts and probate team, which along with Simon Cook includes partners Rachel Sugden, Tom O’Riordan and Laura Stone, was also recognised for its high net worth estate planning advice.

The guide praises the team for its ability to approach 'complex cases calmly and methodically', bringing 'a good mix of young, eager individuals willing to learn and more experienced heads'.

Willans managing partner, Bridget Redmond, commented: 'Featuring in this prestigious guide for ten consecutive years is a remarkable achievement and a true reflection of the exceptional quality of service that Willans provides.

'I’d like to extend my congratulations to Paul, Simon and the wills, trusts and probate team; I’m incredibly proud of the consistently high standard of service, dedication and knowledge they continue to offer our clients.'
