Red Savannah, a luxury travel company based in Cheltenham, has been presented with a prestigious King's Award for Enterprise for excellence in International Trade.
Previously known as The Queen's Awards for Enterprise, the accolades were renamed in 2023 to reflect King Charles' wish to 'continue the legacy of the late Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses.'
Specialising in designing private journeys across the Americas, Indian sub-continent, Southeast Asia and Australia, Red Savannah was founded in 2011 by its CEO George Morgan-Grenville, who received the award from Lord-Lieutenant for Gloucestershire, Edward Gillespie OBE, with Vice Lord-Lieutenant Richard Bradley and Deputy Lieutenant Oli Christie also present on the day.

Upon receiving the award, George said: 'Having been recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2020 at the start of the global pandemic, being granted the King’s Award in 2025 is a wonderful testament to the Red Savannah team whose tireless energy enabled us to get through an immensely challenging period in 2020 and 2021, before capitalising very rapidly on the post-pandemic recovery.
'Apart from supercharging growth, we are also delighted to have been able to increase our donations to the Rainforest Trust UK; bringing the total land protected to over 36,000 acres, the equivalent of over 20,500 football pitches, together with additional financial support both for the Gloucestershire Community Foundation and also Cheltenham Open Door, a wonderful charity providing cooked meals and support for the homeless.'
With a team of 36 staff members, Red Savannah also curates a portfolio of villas in Europe and the Caribbean, as well as a collection of gulet and yacht charters, and as a business aims to 'create journeys of substance, without the glitz and hackneyed travel jargon.'
The King's Awards for Enterprise, now in its 59th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses recognised for a period of five years.
