With many high-profile private and public clients on its books, Cheltenham-based tech consultancy P3M Works has launched an inclusive new cyber service, designed to help firms strengthen their online security.

P3M Works says that a high proportion of cyber security breaches are the result of poor processes and planning.

Research has shown that 82 per cent of cyber attacks were targeted at companies with less than 1,000 employees and that 52 per cent of those breaches were the result of an avoidable error involving humans, that could have been prevented through good training and resilience planning.

Not only this, 60 per cent of startups suffer a cyber attack within their first six months of business, resulting in their closure.

P3M Works, a Cheltenham-based cyber resilience consultancy that supports public sector, defence and private sector companies, has launched an innovative new service for Gloucestershire and national business, RaaS – Resilience as a Service.

Using cutting-edge tools, which are tried and tested by national defence organisations, P3M Works identifies the risks a business might be facing from its current system and offers expert solutions to build online resilience.

Jack Marley, founder of P3M Works, said: 'Cyber resilience isn’t just about preventing attacks – it’s about ensuring businesses can operate, recover and thrive under cyber threats.'

What 'cyber resilience' means in real terms is the method by which a business prepares itself for any potential cyber attacks, by assessing its vulnerabilities and strengths; implementing an incident response plan; and minimising disruption.

Jack continued: 'We help organisations build cyber resilient cultures where employees become cyber-confident and know how to respond in a crisis.

'We deliver prioritised cyber outcomes that address technical, human cyber risk and improve how organisations think about cyber resilience.'

Having extensive experience with national and international cyber and defence organisations, P3M Works, as part of its RaaS service, provides a dedicated resilience lead, who will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a business's cyber security plan.

Jack said: 'We also have access to expertise both inside and outside of our organisation that can support you where appropriate.'

'We’re able to offer access to exclusive products through our partner relationships. Most of these products cannot be bought direct from manufacturer, this means you have access to some of the most sophisticated cyber protection products on the market.'

On top of access to state-of-the-art software products, companies will also receive staff training, certification and accreditation, helping them install trust in clients and customers by showing that they are cyber resilient together with meeting and staying ahead of cyber security regulations.

Jack added: 'We bring the same rigour, discipline and precision that we use across national security to every project, guaranteeing that your security strategy is as resilient and dynamic as the threats it faces.'
