This year's Gloucestershire Net Zero Conference includes a focus on the fundamentals of carbon auditing for contractors and suppliers of Gloucestershire County Council and the county's six district councils.

Local businesses have the chance to gain expert insight into how they can acheive net zero carbon emissions, with free tickets now available for this year's Gloucestershire Net Zero Conference.

Organised and led by the county's business support network, The Growth Hub Gloucestershire – now a part of Gloucestershire County Council – the net zero conference returns for 2026, once again bringing together an array of local business leaders and sustainability professionals to share advice on reducing emissions.

As part of the council's net zero commitment, this year's event includes a focus on helping contractors and suppliers of Gloucestershire County Council and the county's six district councils to decarbonise, while other local businesses that are passionate about sustainability and tackling climate change are also encouraged to attend.

Through a lineup of talks and case studies, the conference will explore 'inspiring and creative' ways in which businesses can become more sustainable, covering topics including the fundamentals of carbon auditing, reporting, waste, travel, energy and best practice across reduction and adaptation activity, along with the challenges and benefits of decarbonising your supply chain.

The conference will be chaired by Ruth Dooley, vice-chair of the Gloucestershire Economic Growth Board and partner at Hazlewoods, while Martin Horwood, cabinet member for nature, climate and waste reduction at Gloucestershire County Council, is the keynote speaker.

Some of the county's leading businesses, along with the business guide from The Growth Hub, will present actions and initiatives they have carried out to accelerate their net zero journeys, providing bitesize insights into decarbonisation.

Gloucester-based firm The P&M Group will share how it has set out its net zero strategy and includes a focus on buildings and energy; leading construction company Barnwood Group is highlighting goods and services in a supply chain; Allstone Speedy Skips will focus on waste; and award-winning IT specialist Gemba Advantage will showcase its work on travel.

The presentations will then be followed by an interactive panel session aimed at generating discussion, along with networking.

A spokesperson for The Growth Hub Gloucestershire said: 'Whether you're well on your way or just starting out on your journey to sustainability, this range of topics is designed to provide inspiration and actions on which to start or continue a journey to net zero'.

The Gloucestershire Net Zero Conference 2026 – taking place at the Minster Exchange in Cheltenham on Thursday 12 February 2026, from 9am till 2pm – is part of a series of workshops being hosted by The Growth Hub around carbon fundamentals in 2026.
