Freemans Event Partners celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025 and its team marked the milestone with a commemorative plaque unveiled by Princess Anne.
Since its formation in 1975, Freemans Event Partners – which
was originally named Stephen Freeman Catering – has established itself as a crucial element of major events across the world, including a yearly visit to Silverstone for the
British Grand Prix, and most recently, the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The SoGlos Top 100 company began life as a sole fish and chip van but has gradually expanded to now cover over 650 events and serve 25 million people a year.
Alongside revealing the plaque to attendees, Princess Anne also enjoyed a tour of the facilities, and executive chairman of Freemans Event Partners, Stephen Freeman, said of the visit: 'It was an incredible honour to welcome Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal to Freeman Event Partners.
'The visit not only recognises the hard work and dedication of our team but also shines a spotlight on the vital role the hospitality industry plays behind the scenes at some of the UK's biggest events and venues.
'We're proud to showcase our achievements on such as a prestigious occasion.'
Across the years, its team has been a part of numerous historic cultural moments all over the UK, including Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee in London in 2002 and iconic rock band Queen's iconic concert held at Knebworth in 1986.
As well as having a global presence, Freemans also services people closer to home. The company is in charge of full operations at Kingsholm Stadium – home of Gloucester Rugby – and provides food and drink, brand activations and many more services to over 16,000 Cherry and Whites fans every match day.
