Tallow + Ash are moving into new headquarters in Cheltenham, back to the building where the business first started.

Tallow + Ash has been making waves in the laundry industry since its launch in 2023, being named a 'unicorn' business by investor and BrewDog founder James Watt and making it onto the shelves at Tesco.

Now the business is going back to where it all began as it moves into its new headquarters at Alma House in Cheltenham.

The pioneering business, launched by local businesswoman Ciara McGurk, started in the basement of Alma House — and now it's taken ownership of the whole building to create a brand-new Tallow + Ash HQ.

The 187-year-old building was designed by George Henry Walton – a contemporary of William Morris – and boasts spectacular interior features including intricate stained-glass windows and even its own well, which the brand plans to turn into a 'detergent fountain' which visitors can use to get free refills.

As well as being the new head office for the Tallow + Ash team, there will also be a laboratory where new formulations will be created, as well as spaces to host customers for 'smelling sessions' and product testing, too.

In her LinkedIn post announcing the news, Ciara said: 'We wanted an office space that was something different, that makes our team feel as creative as possible so they can make the most amazing products and services for everyone.'

The company is currently looking for an interior designer to help with the refurbishment, before the team officially moves in on Thursday 1 January 2026.
