Neil and Sarah Smith move into new leadership roles at ReformIT this November 2025.

Managed service provider ReformIT has revealed a major leadership reshuffle at its Cheltenham-located headquarters this November 2025, after its owner-directors prioritise staff development and happiness, together with their own work-life balance as a husband-and-wife duo.

Neil Smith, who founded the business in 1998, moves from managing director to a new role of founder, where he will concentrate on expanding the reach of the business, positioning ReformIT as a leading managed intelligence provider and – following an inspiring conference in Amsterdam – will work on enabling its customers to take advantage of the 'Agentic AI future'. He will also continue to reinforce existing client relationships.

While Sarah Smith, formerly marketing and operations director, takes on the role of managing director, with immediate plans to assess every aspect of the business to look for efficiencies in process, while supporting each team member in their own career path plans.

Sean Rayner, who rose through the ranks to service delivery manager at the business in 2024, will take on more of the day-to-day operational tasks, as part of these changes.

Commenting on the restructure, Sarah said: 'The reason for these changes is that they put both Neil and I in our 'happy places'.

'I have worked hard over the last three years to become a strong leader and 'process queen', being able to learn how each cog fits together and how I can make it run more efficiently.

'Having built the business from his bedroom in 1998, Neil's strengths have always lay in developing and maintaining strong relationships as well as steering the company into what is always an exciting future.'

Neil added: 'This change in the structure of leadership at ReformIT marks an exciting new phase for us, especially as a small, family-run business.

'I am really looking forward to continuing our growth journey.'

Sarah continued: 'Having watched Neil work so hard in this business since we met 16 years ago, I am very proud to be part of what makes it all work so well.

'As a woman in tech, managing director is not a position many reach – and I am incredibly excited to have this opportunity.'
