Considering a career in care? Here’s why Lilian Faithfull Care is a fantastic place to work.

With January being a key time for career changes and new opportunities, Gloucestershire-based elderly care charity, Lilian Faithfull Care, is encouraging people to apply.

The charity is always on the lookout for great people to work in its five care homes and two day care hubs in the county, with a variety of roles available including carers and nurses, activity co-ordinators, physiotherapists, chefs and housekeeping.

Offering a friendly, stable and supportive working environment, staff at Lilian Faithfull Care can make a big difference to the lives of the charity’s remarkable residents – and it’s looking for people who are caring, compassionate and respectful to join its ‘Lilian Faithfull Care Family’.

No experience is necessary to apply as excellent training is provided – including the chance to work towards NVQ’s up to Level 5 and Trainee Nursing Associate qualifications – however experienced care staff looking to progress their careers will also find fantastic personal and career development opportunities at Lilian Faithfull Care.

In its annual staff survey in 2021, 91 per cent of respondents said they would recommend Lilian Faithfull Care to their family and friends, with comments including that staff members are ‘proud to belong to the team’, ‘always feel valued’ and describing the charity as ‘a great place to work.’

Staff also complimented their managers, the hands-on support from high level staff and the support they received during lockdown.

Full and part-time positions are available with flexible working hours, ideal for parents, as well as competitive pay, including increased hourly rates for those who work weekends; on extra care wings; have relevant qualifications already; or who are willing and able to train staff.

Lilian Faithfull Care also offers paid inductions and breaks, subsidised meals and free uniforms for staff, as well as benefits including life insurance, subsidised critical illness cover and access to a health cash plan.

Unlike many other care providers, Lilian Faithfull Care is a charity and is proud to put people before profits, ensuring that no resident loses their place in one of its homes for financial reasons.
