Mark Chambers, managing director of the Eden Hotel Collection which runs the luxury Greenway Hotel & Spa in Cheltenham, has been recognised in The Boutique Hotelier Power List 2025.
Named in the Business Leader category, alongside Eden's people director, Lisa Redding, who was recognised in the Hidden Heroes category, Mark has overseen the hotel group for nearly 20 years, during which, The Greenway Hotel has won multiple awards.
The Boutique Hotelier’s Power List recognises 50 of the most 'deserving individuals at owner and manager level who play a major part in shaping the character of their hotels and how staff operate in their business'.
Mark said: 'This recognition is extra special as it has been made by industry peers and further underlines our hotels’ standing not just with the public but the wider hospitality sector too.
'There are many ongoing challenges facing hospitality – whether it is recruitment, cost pressures or standing out in a saturated market – but we are continuing to grow and that is testament to the hard work of the wider team.'
Lisa, who is credited with creating the Greenway's 'happiness programme' which won a national award, added: 'I’m incredibly proud to be recognised in this way, because at Eden, our culture has always been about putting people first.
'We’ve worked hard to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, seen and supported – and that means more than just policies or platforms. It’s about listening deeply, responding to what our teams need and building a culture where people can thrive, grow and genuinely enjoy coming to work.'
