Optimising IT has announced its new partnership with the world's greenest football club, Forest Green Rovers, in a bid to champion sustainability in sport.
The Gloucester-based managed service provider is a certified B Corp and also offers a climate conscious IT service – and will be working with FGR on its IT, as well as displaying its branding at the club's ground.
It said its partnership with Forest Green Rovers 'marks the beginning of a shared journey rooted in sustainability, innovation and community impact', reinforcing its own company values and recognising FGR's 'dedication to doing business differently and putting people and the planet first'.
Forest Green Rovers is famed for being the world's greenest football club and is a UN-recognised climate champion, leading the way in sustainable sport.
As well as being a fully vegan club, its New Lawn stadium in Nailsworth runs entirely on renewable solar energy and uses recycled rainwater to irrigate the pitch; the club doesn't have single-use plastics; and it arranges group travel for teams and fans to help reduce emissions.
FGR's CEO, Dale Vince, said: 'We're delighted to work with Optimising IT – we always look to work with brands who share our vision and values and they do exactly that.
'We're excited to work on a number of projects over the coming months in what promises to be an exciting new partnership.'
Optimising IT's managing director, Todd Gifford, added: 'We’re thrilled to partner with Forest Green Rovers. As a business committed to sustainable practices and community engagement, Forest Green Rovers’ values align perfectly with ours.
'This partnership is more than just branding, it’s about supporting a club that’s redefining what it means to be responsible in sport.'
