The Hollie Gazzard Trust is welcoming a new CEO as charity founder Nick Gazzard OBE steps down after more than a decade of 'incredible drive, commitment and leadership'.

Jane Harvey is taking up the CEO role for the charity, but this won't be the end of Nick's involvement, as he takes on a new public-facing role and joins its board of trustees, allowing him to continue to represent the trust and contribute to its long-term strategy.

Nick established the Hollie Gazzard Trust after his daughter Hollie was murdered by her ex-boyfriend at the salon where she worked in 2014. Since it was founded over 11 years ago, the charity has grown to become a nationally recognised organisation, spearheaded by Nick, with its crucial work being celebrated at the 2025 Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards, where it took home the trophy for Charity of the Year.

The charity's mission is to not only raise awareness of domestic abuse, domestic violence and stalking, but to provide helpful tools to protect and educate people — including its innovative HollieGuard app and active bystander training programmes.

Nick said: 'The time has come for me to step aside and I know that the trust is in great hands with Jane and will continue to grow and be impactful in tackling violence against women and girls.'

Jane brings a wealth of experience to the CEO role, including over 20 years in broadcast journalism at the BBC and ITV, where she contributed to a documentary on the impact of stalking in 1999.

During this project she worked closely with global experts in risk and safeguarding, 'igniting her long-term commitment to supporting victims of abuse.'

Jane also played a pivotal role in shaping national policy through her work with the Network for Surviving Stalking and was a founding member of the team behind the groundbreaking National Stalking Helpline launched in 2010.

Her relationship with the Hollie Gazzard Trust began in 2017 after she heard Nick speak on the radio, joining to help deliver frontline support in Gloucestershire by providing risk assessments, safeguarding and advocacy to high-risk stalking victims.

She said: 'Words can’t convey how honoured I am to take over as CEO of the Hollie Gazzard Trust.

'This charity, born out of the worst circumstances imaginable, has achieved so much thanks to the hard work, tenacity and positivity of Nick, his family and supporters.

'I am mindful I have been given this opportunity because I have been privileged to learn from those who have personally experienced the devastation of stalking and domestic abuse. These people remain in my heart and mind as I step into this important leadership role.'
