Cheltenham’s very first dedicated board game café – Board N Bites – has opened its doors in The Terrace, near Royal Well Bus Station.

With a collection of over 100 games alongside food and drinks too, the café and bar offers a lunch date with a difference as guests eat and compete.

The quirky dining business has been created by mum and son duo, Lee and Marie Banks, after the Coronavirus pandemic made them ‘shift focus to what really matters’.

Lee’s gaming knowledge spreads across many genres, having travelled across Europe and amassed a vast collection of board games, while mum Marie specialises in homemade sweet treats.

For the uninitiated, the venue’s dedicated Board Game masters are able to help newbie gamers pick something to try. What’s more, the café hosts a special event every Saturday night – from comedy evenings to quiz competitions.

Board N Bites is open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesdays and 10am to 10pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

For more information, or to book a table, call Board N Bites on 07552416729.
