Based in Stroud, Giffords Circus is well-known to many who live in Gloucestershire - and now its gravity-defying aerial act is featuring on the Royal Variety Performance.

After rehearsing at London’s Royal Albert Hall earlier this month, Isabella and Daniela Munoz Landestoy from Giffords Circus are appearing in this year’s Royal Variety Performance on ITV this December 2022.

The annual televised variety show is organised in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which King Charles III is patron, and was filmed in front of an audience on Thursday 1 December 2022.

As well as being hosted by comedian Lee Mack, this year’s event includes performances from Ellie Goulding, as well as Gary Barlow, George Ezra, Nile Rodgers and CHIC – alongside the Munoz Landestoy sisters.

Anyone who saw Giffords’ show ¡Carpa! in 2022 will remember them as the siblings suspended from the top of the tent by their hair as part of their ‘hang act’.

Behind the scenes, they’ve since revealed that specialist twine is tied into their locks to help them achieve this incredible feat.

For those of us who didn't get tickets to the live event, the Royal Variety Performance 2022 is available to watch on ITV1 from 8pm on Tuesday 20 December 2022.
