Gloucester Tall Ships Festival is back for 2024 bigger and better than ever — and it has finally announced the secret artist headlining its main music stage this year.

Famous for his viral TikTok performances, Nathan Evans is taking to the Tall Ships main stage on Monday 27 May 2024, singing his signature pop twists on traditional sea shanties and folk songs to bring the event to a rousing crescendo.

The chart-topping 'Wellerman' singer completes the festival's biggest ever music line-up, joining the likes of DJ Dan Cooper; Brassienda; The Old Time Sailors; The Cherry Bomb; Mad Apple Circus; Step Hop House; The Gin Bowlers; and local favourites The Roving Crows and Thrill Collins.

Nathan said: 'There is nothing I love more than playing for a live crowd and to get the chance to perform my songs against the backdrop of Gloucester Docks is going to be a moment to remember.

'With this being a bank holiday, I’m sure that everybody is going to be in the mood to have a good time!'

There's also an exciting array of up-and-coming local artists on The Crane Stage, including emerging talent from The Music Works and Gloucester Brewery's Battle of the Bands 2023 winners, Cheltenham-based singer-songwriter duo Saint Senara.

Alongside its non-stop music line-up, visitors can hop aboard an exciting selection of historic ships, too, including Napoleon star Phoenix and star of Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice Through The Looking Glass, Irene.

Gloucester Tall Ships Festival takes over Gloucester Docks from Saturday 25 until Monday 27 May 2024 and tickets are on sale now.
