Cheltenham's largest soft play centre, The Play Farm, is being taken over by new owners.

The Play Farm closed its doors on Sunday 9 November 2025 after 13 years in business and eight years under the current owners.

The Brewery Quarter has now announced that the popular soft play venue is being taken over by Cirencester-based Little Centurions

The business already runs a thriving soft play centre in Cirencester and plans to reopen the Cheltenham site later in 2025, following a rebrand and major refurbishment.

Founded in 2021, Little Centurions has a reputation for its welcoming and well-maintained environment; exceptional customer service; attention to detail; and commitment to using local suppliers.

At its new Cheltenham site, little ones can look forward to a 'thoughtfully designed play space' while parents will enjoy premium wifi and comfortable surroundings, designed to allow them to work remotely while their children play.

There will also be a new Corinium Cafe at Little Centurions, serving freshly made toasties, paninis, soups and cakes supplied by a Cheltenham bakery, as well as barista coffee, tea, Bensons juices and Winstones ice cream.

And the venue will offer childrens' birthday parties seven days a week, including 90 mintues of soft play, a private party room, food options including dessert trays and a treat for the birthday child.

Little Centurions' owner, Francesca Abbley, said: 'We’re so excited to bring Little Centurions to Cheltenham! Our goal is to create a space that children love and parents genuinely enjoy spending time in — a place that feels clean, calm and welcoming for everyone.

'We work hard to support local suppliers, invest in our staff and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. We can’t wait to welcome Cheltenham families to experience the Little Centurions difference.'

The Brewery Quarter's marketing manager, Demelsa Coleman, added: 'We’re delighted to welcome Little Centurions to The Brewery Quarter. It’s fantastic to see such an established and trusted local brand bringing fresh energy, creativity and quality to this much-loved family attraction.

'The new concept will be a wonderful addition to our vibrant mix of leisure and hospitality venues and we’re confident it will be hugely popular with local families.

'The rebrand marks a new era for the venue, which has entertained thousands of local children over the past decade. Under its new ownership, Little Centurions is set to continue that spirit of family fun — refreshed, reimagined and ready for the next generation of young adventurers.'
