The Play Farm in Cheltenham is reopening as Little Centurions this January 2026.

Cheltenham's largest soft play centre, The Play Farm, has been taken over by new owners – Cirencester-based Little Centurions – and it's reopening this January 2026.

The Play Farm closed its doors on Sunday 9 November 2025 after 13 years in business and eight years under the previous owners.

The venue has undergone a significant refurbishment and is reopening under the Little Centurions banner on Saturday 10 January 2026.

Founded in 2021, Little Centurions already runs a thriving soft play centre in Cirencester and has a reputation for its welcoming and well-maintained environment; exceptional customer service; attention to detail; and commitment to using local suppliers.

At its new Cheltenham site, little ones can look forward to a 'thoughtfully designed play space' while parents will enjoy premium wifi and comfortable surroundings, designed to allow them to work remotely while their children play.

There will also be a new Corinium Cafe at Little Centurions, serving freshly made toasties, paninis, soups and cakes supplied by a Cheltenham bakery, as well as barista coffee, tea, Bensons juices and Winstones ice cream.

And the venue will offer childrens' birthday parties seven days a week, including 90 mintues of soft play, a private party room, food options including dessert trays and a treat for the birthday child, with dozens of parties already pre-booked.

Little Centurions' owner, Francesca Abbley, said: 'We’re so excited to be opening Little Centurions Cheltenham on Saturday 10 January. The response from local families has been amazing and to have so many parties booked before we’ve even opened has been incredibly encouraging.

'Our aim is to create a space where children can enjoy active, imaginative play and parents can genuinely relax, catch up with friends and enjoy great food and coffee.'

The Brewery Quarter's marketing manager, Demelsa Coleman, added: 'Little Centurions is a brilliant addition to The Brewery Quarter and a real asset to Cheltenham’s family-friendly offering.

'The level of interest ahead of opening shows just how well this concept resonates locally and we’re confident it will quickly become a go-to destination for families.'

Little Centurions at The Brewery Quarter officially opens on Saturday 10 January 2026 – and the first 50 online bookings will be entered into a draw to win a party for up to 25 children.
