Thrill-seekers of all ages are in for a treat, as the Gloucester institution JDR Karting has levelled up its offering with the exciting launch of Ocean Island Adventure Golf, adding to a whole host of activities to try your hand at.
Unveiled towards the end of 2025, Ocean Island Adventure Golf gives families, friends and work parties the chance to take on an indoor mini golf adventure, with an array of different holes to challenge your inner Tiger Woods.
Unique obstacles add to the fun and specially commissioned artwork brings the immersive underwater theme to life – complete with ultra violet paint which makes the sea creatures pop.
And, if you enjoyed watching Team GB in the curling at the Winter Olympics this year, you now also have the chance to try ice-free curling on a custom synthetic rink to experience this fast-paced and hugely fun sport for yourself. Plus, there's no special footwear or heavy lifting involved either.
'We've taken the strategy and excitement of the traditional game and made it accessible to absolutely everyone, all year round,' said Richard Gittings, owner of JDR Karting.
Players can watch the curling stones slide into their final positions on a large television monitor, keep track of their scores on an iPad and take team photos before getting the results emailed to you.
Visitors will also find two professional shuffleboards offering a chilled-out challenge, with both nine- and 14-foot boards. Whether you've played before or not, expect to get quickly hooked to this addictive, tabletop game of strategy, physics and precision.
