Schools across Gloucestershire are being encouraged to register for a gardening scheme, which could see their work displayed at one of the most famous spring shows in the country.

Run by the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, applications for the festival’s School Challenge are now open, hoping to inspire school-aged gardeners to get stuck in with all things planting and growing.

Schools which take part will be given a four-metre square garden space at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern between Thursday 9 May and Sunday 12 May 2019, creating a garden with the theme ‘A Moment in Time.’

A chance to get creative and colourful in the great outdoors, this is a chance for schools to boast their talents through gardening, all whilst teaching children about planting, design and construction.

The closing date for entries is Sunday 21 October 2018.
