Brewdog has revealed plans to open its first and only venue in Gloucestershire.
The Scotland-based brewery submitted a planning application to Cheltenham Borough Council on Thursday 19 August 2021 which gives revellers a glimpse at the plans for the Cheltenham venue.
The new bar will occupy the former home of Frankie and Benny’s at the Brewery Quarter, joining the likes of Indian street food Mowgli which opened in August 2021 and Hub Box which is due to open soon.
The internal layout of the unit will remain very similar, with the kitchen at the rear of the venue and a vast open plan area at the front. There will be a main bar along the left-hand side of the unit with a mixture of loose and fixed tables and chairs throughout.
Cheltenham’s new Brewdog plans to open from 9am until 1am from Sunday to Wednesday, with closing extended to 2am from Thursday to Saturday. Drinkers will be able to enjoy Brewdog’s eclectic variety of ales and lagers from Elvis Juice to Punk IPA, as well as a ‘full food offering’ too.
Nikki Kontarines, Asset Manager for The Brewery Quarter said: ‘We can confirm that Brewdog has expressed an interest in The Brewery Quarter. We hope that we will be able to announce further good news in due course.
‘This further demonstrates the ever-growing success and popularity of the scheme as a primary entertainment and lifestyle destination in the UK.’
The opening date for Cheltenham’s new Brewdog venue hasn’t been announced yet and further planning applications will need to be submitted for the shopfront and signage.
