Following the launch of the government’s new Eat Out to Help Out scheme, foodies will be able to get a 50 per cent discount when dining-in at certain restaurants, pubs and cafés in Cheltenham from Monday 3 August 2020.

Diners can save up to £10 per head from Monday to Wednesday until Monday 31 August 2020 at participating eateries – with plenty of places to grab some half-price grub in Cheltenham.

As an independent business ourselves, we are passionate about supporting Cheltenham’s independent restaurants, cafés and pubs – with SoGlos’s journalists handpicking some of our favourite independents taking part in the scheme in the city, so far. With tables inside and out and a menu bursting with sunny Spanish tapas, independent Regent Street restaurant Bar Padron is taking part in Eat Out to Help Out. Save on paella and splurge on sangria!


The Coconut Tree

The Coconut Tree in Cheltenham will be offering its sensational Sri Lankan street food with a 50 per cent off discount INCLUDING ALCOHOL, from Monday to Wednesday. All the more money for coco-tails!


The Everyman Theatre Restaurant

The Everyman Theatre’s Cafe and Restaurant is taking part in Eat Out To Help Out scheme, with savings of up to £10 on a special two course menu, available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August.


288 Bar and Wok

One of our favourite Cheltenham independents, space will be at a premium to dine in at 288 Bar and Wok, when it offers its delicious Chinese fare for half the price on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August, as well as Monday 17, 24 and 31 August 2020 too.


WoodKraft

Enjoy WoodKraft’s relaxed dishes for less, with the popular eatery on Regent Street taking part in the new government-backed scheme throughout August.


Domaine 16

Offering half-price meals on Tuesday evenings and Wednesdays, wine and cheese fans can also tuck into a new one-metre sharing platter at Domaine 16 on Regent Street.

Treat yourself to a feast of authentic Indian street food, with Bombay & Co offering 50 per cent off its food menu in August.

Get fifty per cent off fine dining at Cheltenham’s GL50 this August, with a menu of delicious dishes made from seasonal British produce.


Nasprías

Authentic Sardinian-inspired pizza is half-price this August as Nasprías on Hewlett Road is joining in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.


The Daffodil

Known for being one of Cheltenham’s most acclaimed restaurants, The Daffodil will be offering 50 per cent off its famous food and opening on Mondays from Monday 17 August 2020 until the end of the month, to take part in the Government-backed initiative.

The Bottle of Sauce

Pub-goers can get 50 per cent off The Bottle of Sauce’s full food menu from 5pm onwards, including its juicy range of burgers and stonebaked pizzas – we like the ‘Salami Get This Straight’ sausage fest.

Head to The Old Restoration for a half-price meal, with the menu boasting traditional pub classics like steak and ale pie, as well as a veggie-friendly risotto and Thai green curry.
