The Coconut Tree's co-founders, Rashintha Rodrigo and Shamil Fernando, are bringing their winning menu from Come Dine With Me: The Professionals to Cheltenham this October 2022.

The cousins won their episode of the new Channel 4 show - which first aired in July 2022 - and will be cooking up a storm at eight of The Coconut Tree's restaurants around the country, starting with the Cheltenham venue on Thursday 6 October 2022, before travelling to Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Bath and Reading, finishing up in Birmingham on Thursday 24 November 2022.

Their menu scored an impressive 38 out of 40 on the show, with some of the highlights being The Coconut Tree's famous egg hoppers; crispy fried lamb balls; and three Sri Lankan curries.

Diners at the Cheltenham restaurant will get to try the whole experience, with dishes including lamb or vegan cutlets, black pork, fat sister pumpkin curry, coconut sambol, kotthu and treacle hoppers for dessert - with the option to have Cocotails paired with each course. There'll be a Hopper Station on the night, too.

Rodrigo said: 'This is a chance to invite people from all over the country to join us at our table and enjoy the uniquely Sri Lankan flavours we're so passionate about here at The Coconut Tree. The best way to understand Sri Lankan flavours is to try them – and you can even take them into your own home with our hopper kits.

'Come Dine With Me: The Professionals was such a brilliant experience. We're really proud of this menu, and the other contestants gave us such fantastic feedback! Now everyone can try our winning dishes for themselves. We look forward to sharing our authentic Sri Lankan eats with communities far and wide.'

Tickets for the special menu cost £19 per person for food only, or £38 to include the paired Cocotails. Diners can also get their hands on their own hopper kit to take home.
