Gloucestershire is home to two Michelin Star restaurants, once again in 2026.
Announced at the official Michelin Guide ceremony in Dublin on Monday 10 February 2026, Cheltenham restaurant Le Champignon Sauvage retained its One Michelin Star for the 30th consecutive year, with Cheltenham restaurant Lumiere also holding onto its One Michelin Star for the fourth year in a row.
Gloucester-born celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, meanwhile, has also retained his Two Michelin Stars for The Hand & Flowers in Marlow.
The new 2026 Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland includes a total of 1,210 restaurants, including 230 recognised with Stars – the biggest news for Gloucestershire in the new guide is that Bishop's Cleeve's Jai Ho has been awarded a new Bib Gourmand, which are given to restaurants 'offering good food at a great price'. The Cotswolds pub The Horse and Groom has retained its Bib Gourmand recognition in 2026, too.
Seven new Green Stars were given out in 2026 for 'outstanding commitment to a more sustainable approach to gastronomy', with Cotswold cafe and farmshop Daylesford Organic retaining the impressive award.

Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham's Suffolks remains one of just two Gloucestershire restaurants to hold a Michelin Star in the 2026 guide, successfully retaining its One Michelin Star.
The restaurant was founded in 1987 by chef David Everitt-Matthias and his wife Helen, a partnership renowned for an extraordinary record – they have never missed a service since opening.

Cotswolds destination Daylesford Organic has maintained it Green Michelin Star for a fifth year in 2026.
Introduced in 2021, Michelin Green Stars recognise restaurants leading the way in sustainability, with the Michelin Guide praising Daylesford as a stylishly rustic eatery offering a range of dining spaces. Guests can choose between the Legbar for charcuterie and small bites, the Old Spot for pizzas and wood-roasted specials or the main Trough Café for more substantial dishes.
