Comforting rotisserie dishes, cosy log fires and the backdrop of the Cotswold hills combine, when Pit Kitchen launches a new all-weather dining space at Todenham Farm, near Moreton-in-Marsh, from Wednesday 6 November 2025.

Open Thursdays through to Sundays during the winter, the brand-new 80-cover area beside Pit Kitchen’s barn, provides a sheltered setting for guests to tuck into the restaurant’s signature food through the colder months.

Pit Kitchen’s winter menu features hearty flavour-packed dishes perfect for the colder weather, with highlights including half chicken cooked over flaming coals; slow-cooked pork belly; as well as sides such as homemade chips; sourdough flatbreads; and short-grain herby rice, as examples.

While desserts include mille-feuille; dark chocolate mousse; as well as homemade doughnuts in flavours such as sticky toffee, treacle, blood orange and pistachio.

Ingredients are sourced locally and seasonally, with meat supplied by nearby Todenham Manor Farm and fresh produce from Drinkwater Farm.

Head chef George Uren, who trained at River Cottage Farm in Dorset, leads the kitchen; while co-founder Adam Thomas oversees the front-of-house experience, maintaining the welcoming and community-focused atmosphere.

George said: ‘We’ve always wanted to create a space where people can enjoy our food whatever the weather... This new marquee will let us do just that, and will create a warm and relaxed atmosphere where visitors can settle in for a comforting meal surrounded by great people, good drinks, music, and the smell of fire.'

'Pit Kitchen has always been about bringing people together,' added Adam. 'This new space means we can do that all year round. We can’t wait to see it come to life over winter, especially as we head into Christmas.'

Designed to reflect the team’s rustic, natural style, Pit Kitchen’s new permanent structure features wooden tables, hessian runners, greenery and hops suspended from the ceiling, with log fires and festoon lighting adding warmth – an Insta-worthy backdrop, alongside the hearty dishes Pit Kitchen has become known for since opening in 2021.

Bookings are recommended, with walk-ins accepted when space allows.
