In 2005, the founding members of the Bikini team — Brendan Veale and his dad, Cormac — decided to take years of experience 'on the tools' and pour their product knowledge and skills into a new business venture.

And after finalising their plans and deciding on an eye-catching, creative company name — Bikini Bathrooms was born.

No strangers to kitchen design and installation, fast-forward 18 successful years and the Bikini team underwent a significant rebrand in 2023 to incorporate gorgeous kitchen products and designs in its showroom.

With many kitchen and bathroom retailers available within the market, Bikini works hard to set itself apart, as Brendan comments: 'On any given day, with many other larger companies, you can get good service or bad service. We can't afford that as a small family business.

'We've got a small, in-house team — including me and my 75-year-old dad, who's still working three days a week. He's got over 20 years worth of fitting experience and he taught me.

'That's what our customers buy into. The fact that we've got good competent installers, as well as people in-house who are now selling, but have been out installing and know the job, too.'

Looking forward and hoping to continue growing the business, Brendan and the Bikini team are looking to form relationships with suppliers and manufacturers that are 'singing from the same hymn sheet as us,' as Brendan said.

'We offer our customers a massive choice of products and we insist that they have the final say on what they choose and how much they want to spend on it.

'So moving forward, we're looking to work with manufacturers that want to get back to the bricks and mortar businesses — that want to deal with independent companies that know what they're talking about because they fit the product, day in, day out.'

Brendan added: 'You don't have to have us install, we promise to consistently supply quality products, but if you've had someone come to your home and do a good job, we're never going to step on another trader's toes.'
