With 400 guests attending the second annual SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards at Gloucester Cathedral, and 24 incredible local businesses taking the top spot in awards from Restaurant of the Year through to Wedding Supplier of the year, it only seemed right to give our amazing attendees an epic SoGlos goody bag to remember the evening!

The SoGlos team worked tirelessly in collaboration with 24 local companies to pick, pack and distribute 400 goody bags to guests at the end of the awards on Thursday 16 May 2019.

If you weren’t lucky enough to get one, here’s a glimpse of what was inside, with a huge thank you to all of our contributors.


1. Neptune Rum

The SGGLA 2019 headline sponsor gave away a generous voucher for £15 off a bottle of its delicious golden rum. The highly sought-after vouchers went down almost as well as the rum cocktails served by Neptune’s team on arrival!


2. Cowley Manor


The 2019 Hotel of the Year donated 400 freshly baked cookies to the awards goodie bags, along with a voucher for a free coffee and this effortlessly stylish Cotswold hotel.


3. Vanilla Pod Bakery


Hand baking 400 gorgeous iced biscuits was our incredible Wedding Supplier of the Year for 2019, Vanilla Pod Bakery. We can guarantee those won’t be left unopened for long!


4. Butcombe Beer


Delicious beer producers, Burtcombe sent over 400 bottles of their incredible Adam Henson’s Rare Breed pale ale. Adding some weight to our already packed goody bags, these delicious ales are sure to go down a treat at the weekend!


5. Ross & Ross


Artisan producers Ross & Ross shipped over crates and crates of their delicious BBQ rubs, jams and chutneys. Just add some good weather, and we’re convinced that all 400 of the award’s guests will be enjoying the tastiest barbeque they’ve ever had!


6. Tewkesbury Mustard


Hotting things up for guests was Tewkesbury Mustard Company, which provided 400 of its incredible mustard balls for the SGGLA goody bags.


7. Cotswold Gold


Award winning oil producer Cotswold Gold wanted to get into our goody bags, so sent over some delicious drizzles and mayonnaise tubs, which we’re sure will be on the plates of guests this weekend!


8. SoGlos


As well as a hessian goody bag, and a fabulous night to remember featuring free drinks from Cotswold Bar Company, Dunkerton’s Cider, and Neptune Rum; and delicious food from The Woozy Pig and Hetty’s Kitchen, we popped one of our #SoGlosDiscovery magnets into the bag, to brighten the fridge, and remind party goers of a fantastic celebration!


9. SLG


The lifestyle brand behind Zoella and Superdry’s beauty collections recently opened their new offices at Cheltenham’s Brewery Quarter, and also wanted to get involved with the SoGlos GLAs, by donating and incredible 800 units of dry shampoo and hair wax from their Johnny’s Chop Shop and CoLAB brands.


10. John Lewis & Partners


Stylish department store John Lewis and Partners kindly donated a foldable tote bag, perfect for an afternoon of spending in store! Don’t forget to check inside your tote for a surprise from Charlotte Tilbury!


11. Moon Architect and Builder


Helping to inspire the builders and architects of tomorrow, Moon gave away 400 copies of their gorgeous children’s books for guests to take home to the kiddos!


12. Hatton Court


Providing the perfect place to relax and unwind, the team at Hatton Court Hotel donated 400 buy one get one free vouchers for a tasty afternoon tea in their glorious surroundings.


13. The Cavern


The Cavern packaged up some scrummy sweets along with a voucher for a free drink at their bar and venue in Gloucester.


14. The Find


Café of the Year for a second year, The Find gave away 400 vouchers for free espresso martinis at their stunning town centre café.


15. Cheltenham Pilates and Yoga


Our Highly Commended in the Health and Fitness Business of the Year category was Cheltenham Pilates and Yoga, which kindly donated a free class to each person attending the awards.


16. Cotswold Clubhouse


One of Gloucestershire’s newest soft play centres, Cotswold Clubhouse offered each goody bag recipient the chance to take up to four people for an afternoon of climbing, scrambling and sliding, completely on the (club) house!


17. Hollywood Bowl


Based at The Brewery Quarter, the lovely team at Hollywood Bowl donated a free game of bowling to each and every guest at 2019’s SGGLAs.


18. Roses Theatre


The Roses Theatre wanted to make sure all 400 of the SoGlos guests had the chance to experience a film at the brilliant Tewkesbury venue, so donated a free cinema voucher. You bring the popcorn!


19. Toni’s Kitchen


Run by the team behind Fat Toni’s Pizzeria, Toni’s Kitchen is an amazing traditional Italian, based at Bisley House in Stroud. The team there popped over with £10 off vouchers for the SoGlos goody bags to ensure all of our guests could enjoy their delicious menu, at a bargain price!


20. Fat Toni’s Pizzeria


Our Takeaway of the Year winner for a second year was Fat Toni’s Pizzeria, which also donated an deliciously generous £10 off voucher to the SGGLA goody bags.


21. GlosCol


Donating a fantastic £10 voucher to be used at Graduations hair and beauty salons across the college’s three sites; Cheltenham, Gloucester and Forest of Dean, guests to the SGGLA 2019 evening will be looking even more glam, after redeeming to this generous donation.


22. Guano Crazy Printing


Taking on the task of printing our fantastic hessian bags, the team at Guano Crazy Printing did a fabulous job of branding up 400 highly sought-after goody bags, as a memento of the night.


23. The Mortgage Branch


Giving away a voucher for an impressive £250 off a consultation, The Mortgage Branch added to the bursting goody bags. Using 50 different lenders across the market, The Mortgage Branch provides expert financial advice for its clients – and the company even plants a tree for every mortgage that is completed with its service.


24. School House Café


Serving up scrumptious cakes, coffees, cooked breakfasts and even unicorn milkshakes, School House Café in Cheltenham also contributed to the #SGGLA goody bags, giving away a free hot drink voucher.
