David Lloyd Leisure has revealed the official opening date of its second Gloucestershire club, with members able to enjoy its new health and wellness facilities in Bishop's Cleeve from Tuesday 8 December 2026.
Facilities at the north Gloucestershire club, which construction began at in November 2025, include a 100-plus station gym, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and racquet sports including cushioned acrylic tennis courts, and padel facilities.
Its exercise studios will offer David Lloyd Clubs’ signature classes collection, including BLAZE, SPIRIT yoga and Pilates, 1GN1TE, CYCLONE, and member favourite, REBELS, where children aged eight and above can exercise together with their family.
It will also provide a 'luxurious' spa retreat, with a swim in-out hydrotherapy pool, heated relaxation beds, tranquil Spa Garden, and a range of experience rooms including a Himalayan salt sauna, crystal steam and cold plunge pool.
Away from health and fitness, the new Bishop's Cleeve club has an outdoor terrace and spacious clubroom, with a family zone, indoor soft play for children, and an enclosed business lounge for an alternative 'work from home' environment.
Denis Fitzgerald, general manager at David Lloyd Bishops Cleeve, said: 'The level of interest from the local community in our new Bishops Cleeve Club has been fantastic to see.
'We’re incredibly excited to open our doors on 8 December, to welcome new members and to become an established part of the local community here'.
The club is also currently recruiting, having created 75 jobs across a range of roles, from fitness and spa, to hospitality and administration.
