ProCook, the Gloucester-headquartered cookware and kitchenware retailer, has reported its highest ever daily sales figure this Black Friday, with in excess of £500k in sales for the very first time.

While many UK retailers have struggled following a difficult year and month-long lockdown in November, ProCook has enjoyed strong online sales in 2020, culminating in a record day of online sales on Black Friday.

Daniel O’Neill, founder of ProCook, commented ‘There is scepticism at the moment around Black Friday, some retailers not offering genuine reductions and others deciding not to get involved. We’ve made it simple, 20 per cent off everything if you spend £100 – it’s a clear and simple promotion and consumers know they are saving money.’

‘What’s incredible about today [Black Friday] is that we achieved this milestone with most of our stores closed. We’ve been busier than ever this year, so we were expecting a great Black Friday performance, but topping the half a million mark has been particularly sweet and we look forward to seeing our strongest peak sales period to date.’

The ProCook brand was started over 20 years ago by Daniel O’Neill and was the first company to sell cookware sets by direct mail in the UK. Since then it has grown into a multi-channel specialist cookware company with over 50 nationwide stores – including locally at Gloucester Quays and in Cirencester.
