Situated on the corner of Imperial Square and The Promenade, the redevelopment of Cheltenham’s eye-catching Quadrangle building is finished – complete with the town’s first rooftop restaurant.

Family-run construction firm Beard is responsible for serving up the new-look building, which boasts four storeys of premium offices with ground floor retail and restaurant space, plus the ‘discreet rooftop restaurant’ offering diners’ ‘spectacular views across the tree-tops of Montpellier’.

Jamie Harwood, director at Beard Swindon, said: ‘It is an iconic building. The redevelopment has modernised the building, while remaining faithful to its heritage, and the team has done a great job ensuring the build has been completed against the backdrop of the pandemic.

‘The redevelopment of the Quadrangle will certainly inspire and we look forward to seeing businesses thriving in the new space.’

The new environmentally conscious design includes solar panels on the roof and the replacement of all 400 windows.

‘The transformation of the Quadrangle has been spectacular,’ said Kevin Seville, head of property at ABF Pension Fund which owns the spa town building.

‘Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the Beard team have delivered a project that is an exciting addition to Cheltenham.

‘A real team effort, as part of a wider project team, they realised the design from AWW Architects, creating a vibrant work and social space that’s set to become a ‘must-visit’ destination in the town.’

The first office tenant has already been announced, with award-winning digital solutions and services provider, iPipeline to take 8,805 square foot of premium office space on the second floor.
