Cathedral Choir, Stuart Singers, Cathedral Junior Choir and Saint Cecilia Singers with half-hour performances of Christmas classics, suitable for the whole family.

Christmas Market at Gloucester Cathedral

For one-day-only, don’t miss Gloucester Cathedral’s Christmas Market, which opens at 10am on Saturday 14 December 2019 and takes place within the spectacular cloisters.

The market will feature a number of seasonal stalls; an appearance from Father Christmas; and mulled wine and festive refreshments from the Cathedral’s Monk’s Kitchen.

Songs of Celebration – A Christmas Concert at Gloucester Cathedral

Reverberating around the Cathedral on Saturday 7 December 2019 will be the Boy and Girl Choristers of Gloucester Cathedral, alongside internationally acclaimed solo clarinettist, Emma Johnson.

The spectacular Christmas concert costs £20 to attend, between 11am and 12pm, with all proceeds helping to fund the choristers’ future activities.

Family Crib Services at Gloucester Cathedral

Celebrate the run up to Christmas Day with one of two Family Crib Services at Gloucester Cathedral, on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 December 2019, from 3pm.

Families with younger children can take part in the 45-minute services, with the Christmas trees illuminated with festive fairy lights. No tickets are required for this free event.

Boxing Day Carols for All at Gloucester Cathedral

Following the big day, families can extend the festive celebrations as they join Gloucester Choral Society for their annual Boxing Day concert.

Taking place, as the name might suggest, on Thursday 26 December 2019, all are welcome to attend this free and festive afternoon of song, with all donations going to Gloucester Choral Society’s chosen charity.
