Berkeley Castle and its beautiful gardens will reopen with a range of new safety measures in place.

Berkeley Castle is reopening on Sunday 19 July 2020, welcoming visitors back to the historic attraction near Stroud for the first time since lockdown began.

Both the castle and its gorgeous gardens will be open every Sunday to Wednesday until the end of October 2020, with a limited number of visitor slots available each day.

With a fascinating 850-year history, a children’s Dragon Trail and a woodland play area, Berkeley Castle is an ideal socially distanced day out for families.

A range of new safety measures have been introduced including a one-way route around the castle and garden terraces, protective masks for staff, contactless payments-only on takeaway food and drink, as well as a one in / one out policy for toilet facilities.

Berkeley Castle’s Butterfly House, dressing-up area and shop will remain closed for the time being.

Anyone wanting to head to Berkeley Castle must book tickets online in advance – with morning and afternoon slots available each day it is open.
