Literature-lovers can watch Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company, surrounded by centuries of history at Corinium Museum in Cirencester.

The play, which has been directed by the RSC’s Artistic Director, Gregory Doran, will be live-screened in cinemas across the country directly from Stratford-upon-Avon on Wednesday 31 July 2019.

Written in the early 17th century and often labelled as one of Shakespeare’s ‘problem plays’, Measure to Measure tells the story of nun and a corrupt official’s offer to save her brother from execution.
