Gloucester Cathedral is hosting a moving tribute to Gloucestershire’s fallen, to mark the centenary of the Armistice.

Almost 8,000 names gathered from War Memorials across Gloucestershire will be read out during special services in Gloucester Cathedral.

Taking place on Friday 9 November 2018 between 7.30am and 2pm, and again from 4.30pm until 7pm, the cathedral’s Lady Chapel will host the moving ceremony. Members of the clergy and parish representatives will read the names of the local people who lost their lives in World War One.

All are welcome to come and sit for a time of reflection throughout the day until all of the names have been read out.
