Discover an exciting new trail at Slimbridge Wetland Centre this summer, reimagining the wetlands through the eyes of one of the UK's most treasured cartoonists – Roald Dahl illustrator, Quentin Blake.

From Thursday 18 May 2023, visitors can grab a beautifully-illustrated guide, featuring Quentin Blake drawings of wetland nature and habitats, to explore the watery nature reserve in a whole new way.

There's the chance to take inspiration from the well-loved illustrator, too, with nature-inspired illustration activities, creative challenges and art workshops for all ages.

While budding shutterbugs can even take part in photography competitions, with some Quentin Blake goodies up for grabs – including a very special edition, one-off print.

As part of a year-long partnership between WWT and Quentin Blake, Drawn to Water: Quentin Blake at WWT is bringing fresh new trails, activities and events to Slimbridge throughout the year, giving families something new to discover each visit.

Upcoming highlights include a special exhibition showcasing an exquisite selection of Quentin Blake illustrations, launching in Slimbridge's gallery on Friday 21 July 2023.

Tickets to Slimbridge Wetland Centre can be pre-booked online via wwt.org.uk/slimbridge or purchased on the day.
