Promising to be one of the season's most unmissable experiences in Gloucestershire, Slimbridge invites visitors to follow the trail and discover brightly lit, larger-than-life birds, insects, amphibians, mammals, and funghi.
Meet the friendly Marsh Witch who'll guide you on your way, see how many spectacular sculptures you can spot, and look our for the Bat Professor and his faithful companion, who'll help visitors listen out for these elusive creatures with his special bat detector.
This enchanting experience takes place during October half term and provides a spellbinding, wildlife-themed adventure that's full of wonder and magic – with no scary ghosts or goblins in sight!
Guests can also enjoy themed street food in the Kingfisher Kitchen, toast marshmallows over a fire, and even have a go at crafting their own lanterns to light their way.
When is the Mystical Marsh Lantern Experience at Slimbridge Wetland Centre?
The Mystical Marsh Lantern Experience at Slimbridge takes place on Friday 16, Saturday 17, and Sunday 18 October 2026, then throughout October half term from Friday 23 October until Sunday 1 November 2026.
There are admission timeslots every 15 minutes between 5.45pm and 7.30pm.
How much are tickets to the Mystical Marsh Lantern Experience at Slimbridge Wetland Centre?
Early bird tickets booked before Tuesday 1 September 2026 cost £12.95, with standard tickets booked after this time costing £14.95 each.
Children under three-years-old can visit the Mystical Marsh Lantern Experience for free with a paying adult.
Lantern-making and marshmallow-toasting experiences cost an additional £3.50 each.
