Year 10 and 11 students in Gloucestershire are invited to check out the impressive Sixth Form Centre at The King's School Gloucester at its open evening on Wednesday 15 October 2025.

Providing an inspirational environment that encourages pupils to 'think differently', the leading independent school's state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre blends original 13th-century features with thought-provoking contemporary design and the latest technology.

At its Sixth Form open evening, prospective students and their families can take a tour of its fantastic facilities, as well as getting to know the academic staff and head of Sixth Form, to get a valuable insight into what it's like to study at King's.

The school strives to provide Sixth Formers with 'opportunities like no other', with over 24 A-Levels and BTEC Sport to choose from, as well as one-to-one support with UCAS applications and post-18 choices; a forward-thinking Future Skills programme; nurturing pastoral care; and a diverse co-curricular offering encompassing sports, music, performing and creative arts to enrich the academic experience.

King's also benefits from a special relationship with Gloucester Cathedral – just next door – and encourages a sense of friendship and community that runs throughout the entire school.

As well as being rated excellent in all areas in its latest ISI inspection, The Good Schools Guide has also heaped praise on the school for its 'strong sense of community, heritage and tradition', describing it as 'smaller, less pressurised and more grounded than some of its neighbours'.

Its academic results are consistently strong, too, with a 100 per cent pass rate at A Level and 17 per cent of pupils achieving an A*, 40 per cent achieving A*/A, 67 per cent achieving A* to B and 91 per cent achieving A* to C in 2025; with equally strong BTEC results where students achieved the equivalent of more than three A grades at A Level.

Anyone wishing to attend the Sixth Form open evening must register online in advance.
